GiS is the leading provider in the area of plant managemnet systems for (security-critical) large-scale industrial facilities in the German-speaking countries.

With a workforce of over 80, professional solutions which meet the most demanding quality requirements are provided for our customers. In terms of the area of specialisation, the point of emphasis is on process control in operating management, maintenance and the documentation process, for premises in which machines / equipment must conform to specific regulations.

In this area of application, the resources that we command represent a formally recognised competence centre, with a capital of business-area-specific expertise spanning more than 1,000 person-years. GiS is a software house which, since 1984, has been developing, optimising and selling such software and organisational solutions. Our customer base consists primarily of energy producers, but also process-engineering and manufacturing enterprises such as waste incineration facilities. The company’s annual turnover is currently around 9 million Euro.

The company headquarters are located in Erlangen (near Nuremberg), the GiS software centre is in Weinheim an der Bergstrasse (between Frankfurt and Stuttgart). The company management consists of the three company shareholders - Eckhard Haffmann, Alfred Gai and Bernd Heselmann.
